Friday: Big Bill, Suspirians LP release at the Electric Church. The latest from local alt-rock trio Suspirians is a heavy dose of psychedelic hypnosis. Melodies drift into and out of focus over fuzzy guitar riffs propelled by relentless pulsing rhythms courtesy of Lisa Cameron, who used to play drums for Roky Erickson. Art punks Big Bill are holding down a Friday night residency at the new club that recently opened in the converted Jesus Is Alive Ministries building on Cesar Chavez in East Austin. 9 p.m. 5018 E. Cesar Chavez St. facebook.com/theelectricchurchaustin — D.S.S.

Saturday: Muse, Thirty Seconds to Mars at Austin360 Amphitheater. Muse was epic when the band headlined the Austin City Limits Music Festival a couple years back. We’re betting their anti-authoritarian, dystopian rock spectacle will have an even deeper resonance this go round. $30-$99.50. 7 p.m. 9201 Circuit of the Americas Blvd. austin360amphitheater.com— D.S.S.

Saturday: Daybird early shows. Free, all-ages concerts every Saturday in June? Yes please. The City of Austin’s new summer series continues with live music from 1 to 5 p.m. in five venues in a walkable stretch of Downtown Austin. This week’s spotlight event is the second annual Austin Record Label Flea Market at 3Ten where you can peruse the latest releases from nine local labels while rocking out to the sounds of A. Sinclair and stomping your feet to the browngrass of Sour Bridges. Other events include Ruby Jane at Speakeasy and Jackie Venson at Antone’s. See austintexas.org/daybird for full lineup. — D.S.S.
