Greg Dulli, Derrick Brown at Central Presbyterian Church. The Afghan Whigs started churning out R&B-tinged alt-rock in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1986 and their 40th anniversary is shaping up as a big year for the band and their fans. The Whigs have a new album due out on Sub Pop later this year and frontman Dulli is doing a limited run of intimate evenings in churches and synagogues across the country.
