Friday-Saturday: HonkTx! Street Band Festival. The scrappy D.I.Y. event brings together two dozen street bands from across the country and around the world. This year’s acts include Banda Rim Bam Bum from Santiago, Chile; the Legion of Flying Monkeys Horn Orchestra from Vancouver, Canada; and the Neon Brass Party from Seattle. They’ll play alongside local faves such as Maracatu Texas, the Dead Music Capital Band and the Minor Mishap Marching Band. The family-friendly festivities kick off Friday with a five-stage party at Mueller Lake Park. On Saturday, the action moves over to the grounds around Spiderhouse for a six-stage bash around Adams-Hemphill Park, and the festivities are capped by an all-band revue on Sunday at Pan Am Park. Friday: Mélat at Stubb’s indoor. With airy harmonized vocals and a cascade of white-blonde curls, the Austin native carries an otherworldly mystique. Her latest release, “Move Me II: The Present,” a collaboration with California hip-hop producer Jansport J, came out in February. It’s a gorgeous collection of rainy day love songs that coax the listener into her clouds. She played a mess of South by Southwest shows, including high-profile slots on the Radio Day Stage, KUTX Live at the Four Seasons and the Waterloo Records Day Party, but this is her first proper show since the album dropped. $7 (free with wristband from Miguel, capacity permitting). 10:30 p.m. doors. 801 Red River St. stubbsaustin.com — D.S.S.

Saturday: Atash at One 2 One. Austin’s top-notch global music ensemble weaves Mohammad Firoozi’s soaring vocal interpretations of the poetry of Sufi mystic Rumi into a rich tapestry of international rhythm and harmony that has thrilled audiences around the world. Later this month, the group travels to New York City for a concert titled “Global Harmony,” composed and arranged by founding member Roberto Paulo Riggio, at the esteemed Carnegie Music Hall. St. Stephen’s Global Ensemble, from the St. Stephen’s Episcopal School, under the direction of Atash violinist John Moon will join the group in New York. $10. 9:30 p.m. 1509 S. Sunday: NOLA, Texas Food & Music Festival at HEB Center. This annual outdoor event on the lawn outside of Cedar Park’s primary entertainment destination combines Cajun specialties such as jambalaya and crawfish with a solid lineup of music leaning toward the Louisiana side of the spectrum. This year’s performers are the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Dr. Zog, Wayne Toups & Royal BluGarou, Terrance Simien & the Zydeco Experience, Dikki Du & the Zydeco Krewe, and Mayeux & Broussard. $30 ($35 day of event, $99 VIP, kids under 9 free with paid adult). 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. 2100 Avenue of the Stars, Cedar Park. hebcenter.com. — P.B.
