Originally scheduled for last fall, Detroit rocker Bob Seger’s concert at the Erwin Center was postponed for medical reasons but now has a rescheduled date: March 7, 2019.
Seger was about midway through a tour that would bring him to the Erwin Center for the first time in three decades when he heeded “doctor’s orders to attend to an urgent medical issue concerning his vertebrae,” according to a statement issued last October. He’s now rescheduled all of the remaining dates. Tickets purchased for the Oct. 24, 2017, show at the Erwin Center will be honored. Additional tickets, $45-$120, are available via the venue’s website.
After the string of canceled shows, Seger released a new album, “I Knew You When.” It includes Seger’s renditions of Lou Reed’s “Busload of Faith” and Leonard Cohen’s “Democracy,” along with Glenn Song, written for this longtime friend Glenn Frey of the Eagles after Frey died in 2016.
