David Garza & friends at Continental Club. The long run of Alejandro Escovedo’s magical Sunday shows at the end of South by Southwest has come to an end, with Escovedo now living in Dallas and not attending SXSW this year. But at last year’s finale, he passed the torch to his friend and fellow musician extraordinaire David Garza, who has a full lineup in store from the early afternoon to the wee hours. Headlining at midnight are Charlie Sexton and the Mystic Knights of the Sea, with some special guests sitting in; preceding them, in descending order of appearance, are Will Sexton & Amy Lavere, Javier Escovedo, the Americans, Last Bandoleros, Midland, Juliana Sheffield, Whitney Rose, Hot Club of Cowtown, the Grahams and Dan Dyer. The whole thing starts at 2 p.m., with the $20 cover charge benefiting the SIMS Foundation. 1315 S. Congress Ave. continentalclub.com.
