Friday-Sunday: Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit at ACL Live. Americana sensation Isbell sold out two nights in this room last year, so it’s no surprise he had to add a third show this time around. Fans will be eager to hear material from his new album “The Nashville Sound,” the follow-up to 2015’s impressive “Something More Than Free” that earned him his first two Grammy Awards. Indie band the Mountain Goats open the first night; Isbell’s wife and 400 Unit bandmate, Amanda Shires, opens the next two. $39.50-$49.50. 8 p.m. 310 Willie Nelson Blvd. acl-live.com.

Friday: Music Under the Star with Mother Falcon and Molly Burch at Bullock Museum. Rumors of Mother Falcon’s demise earlier this year fortunately turned out to be exaggerated. Though a few members of the indie-classical outfit departed, most of the others have stayed together, if refocusing future efforts more on projects such as their annual summer music lab for area youths. Shows have been less frequent, which makes this appearance as part of the Bullock’s free summer series all the more special. Arrive early for singer-songwriter Molly Burch, whose debut album “Please Be Mine” came out earlier this year. 6 p.m. 1800 Congress Ave. thestoryoftexas.com.

Saturday: Jimmie Vaughan & the Tilt-a-Whirl Band plus Tribute to Doug Sahm at Antone’s. The 42nd anniversary of Antone’s is being celebrated for most of the month, but Saturday is the actual birthday, tracing back to when the late Clifford Antone opened the original venue at Sixth and Brazos streets on July 15, 1975. Just one special show apparently wasn’t enough to mark the occasion, so the club booked two. Early, catch Sauce Gonzalez & the West Side Horns paying tribute to Texas treasure Doug Sahm, with Spot Barnett and Derek O’Brien also on board. Later, guitar great Vaughan, who helped make Antone’s a household name back in the Fabulous Thunderbirds’ heyday, headlines with his Tilt-a-Whirl Band plus upstart opening act the Dylan Bishop Band. 6:30 p.m. ($10-$12) and 10 p.m. ($25-$30). 305 E. Fifth St. antonesnightclub.com.

Saturday: Roky Erickson’s 70th birthday concert at American Legion Charles Johnson House. Antone’s isn’t the only legendary local institution with a July 15 birthday. Psychedelic music pioneer Roky Erickson was born on that day in 1947, which means this is the big seven-oh for him. Some special guests are lined up for this “God Devil Alien” show, along with DJ Fontana spinning “Roky favorites and rarities” plus hot dogs from Frank and an exhibit of 13th Floor Elevators artwork. $20-$30. 6 p.m. 404 Atlanta St. rokyerickson.com.
