Friday: Old Crow Medicine Show at Bass Concert Hall. You knew it had to happen someday. The string-band dudes responsible for unearthing the long-lost “Basement Tapes”-era Dylan throwaway “Wagon Wheel” and turning it into a 21st-century omnipresent roots anthem are returning to the Dylan well. On this tour, they’ll perform Dylan’s iconic 1966 double-album “Blonde on Blonde” in its entirety. (And, it’s a safe bet, “Wagon Wheel” too.) $35-$45. 8 p.m. — P.B.

Chicago rapper Noname will play an SOS Fest make-up show on Saturday at the Scoot Inn. Erika Rich for American-Statesman

Friday-Sunday: SOS Fest rescheduled shows. Following the cancellation of this year’s SOS Fest, organizers have managed to rebook 80-90% of artists who were scheduled to perform into club shows in Austin, many of which take place this weekend. Highlights include Grizzly Bear at ACL Live on Friday, Noname at the Scoot Inn on Saturday and the Shins at Emo’s on Sunday. Full schedules and tickets. — D.S.S.

Sunday: House our Heroes fundraiser at Stubb’s outdoors. This second annual event presented by Red White & Blues 512 seeks to address the problem of homeless veterans in the Austin community. Some of Austin’s top roots and blues acts will perform: Shinyribs, Carolyn Wonderland, Mingo Fishtrap, and Nakia & the Blues Grifters. General admission is free, with donations coming from sponsorships and $150 VIP tickets. 3:30 p.m. doors. 801 Red River St. stubbsaustin.com. — P.B.

Sunday: Colter Wall at Cactus Cafe. Hailing from the Canadian plains of Saskatchewan, Wall came out of nowhere with the release of his self-titled debut album earlier this year to become one of the most-talked-about young talents in Americana music in years. He sounds far older than his 22 years, with a world-weary voice that’s a perfect fit for his spare country-folk tunes. Tickets are sold out, but it might be worth checking at the door on the night of the show; regardless, he’ll be back soon, as he’s booked for the Old Settler’s Music Festival next April. Ian Noe opens. 2247 Guadalupe St. cactuscafe.org. — P.B.
