Monday: Mood Mondays with Christy Hays at Hole in the Wall. Hays, one of Austin’s rising-star singer-songwriters, is in the midst of a weekly residency in February at the UT campus-area haunt, and each week she teams up with different women to help raise money for a variety of causes. This week it’s Jane Ellen Bryant, last year’s Best New Artist winner at the Austin Music Awards, and Beth Chrisman, well-known for her work with local country-folk group the Carper Family, with proceeds going to the Environmental Defense Fund. Donations accepted. 9 p.m. 2538 Guadalupe St. holeinthewallaustin.com. — P.B.

Wednesday: Mike & the Moonpies at Waterloo Records. Five albums into their run as one of Austin’s best country bands of the past decade, Mike Harmeier and his bandmates sound self-assured, revved-up and ready on their new record “Steak Night at the Prairie Rose,” which features nine Harmeier originals plus a swingin’ take on fellow Austin songwriter Jonathan Terrell’s “The Last Time.” They continue a series of recent local shows tied to the album’s release with this in-store performance at Austin’s top record shop. (They’ll also play Sun Radio’s “Texas Radio Live” show on Feb. 28 at Guero’s.) Free. 5 p.m. 600 N. Lamar Blvd. waterloorecords.com. — P.B.

Thursday-Friday: St. Vincent at ACL Live. The eccentric art rocker also known as Annie Clark is riding high on the release of “Masseduction,” her most broadly accessible album to date. It’s a powerful platter that combines her incisive lyricism with creative and surprisingly hooky compositions. The album cements Clark’s place as one of the guitar greats of her generation. The new tour is called “Fear the Future,” but if you’re a fan of powerful women claiming their rightful space at the top of rock’s pantheon, there’s nothing to fear at all. $41-$51. 8 p.m. 310 Willie Nelson Blvd. acl-live.com. — D.S.S.
