Louis Meyers Tribute Showcase at Threadgill’s South. Last week’s death of SXSW’s original music fest director was a shock, especially since he’d also recently helped his former colleagues at Folk Alliance put together this afternoon show co-presented by the Kerrville Folk Festival. It’s now being presented in his honor. The outside stage features Bill Kirchen & Too Much Fun, Jeff Plankenhorn, Sarah Pierce and more; inside, the performers include Danny Schmidt, Carrie Elkin, Anthony Da Costa and Raina Rose, who together sang Schmidt’s beautiful “Company of Friends” at Meyers’ funeral on Monday. The music starts at noon; admission is free and open to all. 301 W. Riverside Drive. threadgills.com. — P.B.
