Tuesday: Big Head Blues Club at the Belmont. Though long-running Colorado trio Big Head Todd & the Monsters made their mark more in alt-pop and jam-band circles, they have some pretty deep roots in the blues. On this tour, they’re focusing on the songs of the legendary Willie Dixon, with a handful of special guest players including singer Mud Morganfield, guitarist Ronnie Baker Brooks and harmonica player Billy Branch. For a sneak peek, check the Austin360 Facebook page at 2 p.m. (Central Time) Tuesday, as we’ll have band leader Todd Park Mohr and some of his guests in our studio at the Statesman for a short acoustic performance and interview. $35-$55. 8 p.m. 305 W. Sixth St. thebelmontaustin.com. — P.B.

Thursday: Echo & the Bunnymen at Stubb’s. “Bring on the Dancing Horses” for a throwback Thursday to remember. With frontman Ian McCulloch and original guitarist Will Sergeant back at the helm, early dates on the tour have earned the indie rock pioneers solid reviews. $29-$33. 7 p.m. doors. 801 Red River St. stubbsaustin.com. — D.S.S.

Thursday: Lori McKenna at One World Theatre. Nashville got hip to the New England songwriter when Faith Hill covered several of her songs. Her new album “The Bird and the Rifle,” recorded with country’s it-guy producer Dave Cobb (Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson, Chris Stapleton), features McKenna’s own version of “Humble & Kind,” a recent chart-topper for Tim McGraw. $20-$88. 8 p.m. 701 Bee Cave Road. oneworldtheatre.org. — P.B.
