Monday: “All Over the Map” book release party with Shinyribs and Carolyn Wonderland at Continental Club. Billed as “A Juneteenth Celebration of Texas Music,” this show features two of Austin’s most passionate musical acts helping former American-Statesman writer Michael Corcoran celebrate his updated and expanded edition of “All Over the Map: True Heroes of Texas Music,” published last month on UNT Press. Shinyribs’ set will feature covers of songs by many artists included in the book; Shawn Sahm and Brennen Leigh also are scheduled to appear. The show benefits Housing Options for Musicians and Entertainers, which helps provide housing aid and assistance to musicians in need. $10. 9:30 p.m. 1315 S. Congress Ave. continentalclub.com. (A book-signing event precedes the show from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. across the street at the Austin Motel; those who buy a book there get into the show for free.) — P.B.
